Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and an active OH or compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Step-down unit (HVTI-Stepdown) within a large hospital setting
• Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED for the same patient population
• Day and night rotating shifts available: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required — all must be active and in hand (no pending certifications accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in step-down nursing required; travel experience also accepted
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required for consideration — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (no co-worker references)
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• No active license hits or open background case hits will be accepted

Additional Information

• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required, with a maximum of two attempts allowed
• Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday
• Previous permanent or per diem employees of Cleveland Clinic hospitals must wait one year from their previous end date before being eligible
