Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown position requiring OH or compact RN license and 12 months of recent Stepdown experience.

Details

• Step-down unit in a hospital setting caring for HVTI (heart, vascular, thoracic) patient population
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) available, with rotating D/N schedule possible based on operational needs
• Shifts may be variable or rotated if needed to meet hospital operational needs

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross for BLS)
• Minimum 12 months of recent permanent experience in the specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment worked in the past 12 months
• Must achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (maximum 2 attempts)

Additional Information

• Required to work at least every other holiday
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract
• Background check hits are reviewed, but open cases are not accepted, and no license hits are accepted
• All RTO must be discussed and finalized during the interview process
