Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a hospital setting requiring an Ohio or compact RN license and telemetry/stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Stepdown unit caring for cardiac/telemetry patients
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day shift (7:00-19:30) or Night shift (19:00-7:30) on a 3x12 schedule
• Shifts may rotate between day and night to meet hospital operational needs
• Required to work every other holiday

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to stepdown/telemetry patients, including monitoring and assessment
• RTO must be discussed and finalized during the interview process
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Background check hits are reviewed by the facility, but open cases are not accepted
• No professional license hits are accepted
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
