Description

American Traveler is hiring a Step Down RN with telemetry experience for a hospital-based position requiring an Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Step Down unit within the HVTI service line
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) and night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) available, with potential for rotating shifts based on operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in Step Down or related specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from an assignment within the past 12 months
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac and step-down level patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
