Job Summary: A Step Down Unit Nurse is needed in Waco, Texas. The position involves working on a 30-bed step-down unit that floats between critical care service lines. The role requires providing specialized care for patients with complex medical needs, including those undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures, managing various acute and chronic conditions, and responding to emergent situations.
Unit Description: 30-bed step-down unit with float capabilities across critical care service lines.
Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse, associate's or bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent, at least 1 year of clinical experience in a step-down or critical care environment, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, ability to work night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing patients with complex cardiac and vascular conditions, familiarity with high acuity patient care protocols, additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or other relevant specialties.
Additional Information: The selected candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility to float across service lines is essential, and adherence to hospital protocols and safety procedures is required.
