Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Step Down RN for a float position requiring prior travel experience, CPI Blue Card certification, and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Step Down unit requiring float coverage across related units
• 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required
• Float required to other units as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:3

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand (MAB or online CPI Blue not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Step Down/Telemetry setting
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Two supervisor references required at time of application

Additional Information

• Provide care for cardiac telemetry, stepdown, and neuro stepdown patient populations
• Skills may include arterial line management, central/peripheral line care, chest tube management, and cardiac drip management
• Experience with post-cardiac catheterization, TAVR, and LVAD/RVAD care is valued
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous UC Irvine employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
