Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2+ years of nursing experience and the ability to float across multiple units.

Details

• 13-week assignment with a 07:00-19:30 shift schedule
• Float position covering AAU (Acuity Adaptable Unit), Med/Surg, Inpatient Rehab, and ED boarded patients
• Required to float onsite within skill set to where the greatest need is
• May need to float to sites within 40 miles if needed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), AHA required for BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across multiple departments based on facility staffing needs
• Travelers must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Candidates should begin discussing extension with their manager 45 days before assignment end date
• First-time travelers are not considered due to prior travel experience requirement
