Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Hazard, KY. This contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4/5.
• Float within the scope of practice as required.
• Work every other weekend and adhere to a blocked scheduling policy.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of previous PCU/Step Down experience.
• AHA BLS & AHA ACLS certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Must possess a valid KY or compact nursing license.
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted (medical and religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis).
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility.
• A valid driver's license and ARH coversheet are required for submission.
