Join a leading healthcare provider as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Hazard, KY. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive care unit (PCU) with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients transitioning from intensive care to a step-down unit.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort while monitoring vital signs and health status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.

Requirements:

• 2 years of previous PCU/Stepdown experience required.
• AHA BLS & AHA ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Must possess a valid Kentucky or compact nursing license.
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted. Medical and religious exemptions approved on a case-by-case basis.
• Must be willing to float within the scope of practice.
• Every other weekend availability required.
• Resource must reside within 75 miles of the facility to be considered.

Additional Information:

• Orientation is bi-weekly.
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Assignment confirmation needs to be loaded within 24 hours of accepting the offer.
• A valid driver's license and ARH coversheet required in all submission packets.
