Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Step-down/Telemetry position requiring 2 years of experience and an active CA RN license in hand.

Details

• Step-down unit (SDU) telemetry position within a hospital setting
• 1:3 patient ratio
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating required within the hospital based on census

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent step-down/telemetry experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and phlebotomy
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Experience monitoring and managing cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• One professional reference required (within the past 2 years)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to stepdown/telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury is preferred
• Experience with orthopedic and cardiovascular post-procedure care preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous permanent staff at the facility are not eligible for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and cannot be added after initial consideration
