Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience and KY or compact licensure.

Details

• Work in the 3 South Stepdown unit with a 1:4-5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule rotating between 3x12 and 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Meditech charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license in hand required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted (medical and religious exemptions considered case by case)
• Valid driver's license matching permanent address required
• Two professional references required: one Charge or higher and one Supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for stepdown patients including cardiac telemetry and neuro stepdown cases
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered
• Must work either a major or minor shift on every holiday
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Travelers returning after a one-year assignment must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
