Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift critical access hospital position requiring charge experience and a NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med Surg/Stepdown unit in a critical access hospital setting
• Patient ratios of up to 6:1, supported by LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR used

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 3 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must have own vehicle to support assignment needs
• Medical Surgical and Stepdown/PCU skills checklists required, current within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference required, from within the past two years of employment

Additional Information

• Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the care process
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and all time off requests must be submitted at the time of profile submission
• Time off requests made after submission or during the interview process will not be approved and may result in a rescinded offer

• Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
