Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/CVU position requiring prior stepdown experience and cardiac proficiency on a busy medical-surgical and cardiovascular unit.

Details

• 28-bed Medical Surgical and Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (CVU)
• Diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients
• CVU cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually, including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemaker procedures
• Unit also cares for post-op open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op) and patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology needs
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Possible on-call requirements
• Float to similar units required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Stepdown experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac care required
• EKG comfortability required
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration
• Michigan license verification (LARA and Nursys) required

• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
• Former full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
