Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Stepdown position requiring 18 months of recent Stepdown experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• Day (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or Night (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) rotating shifts
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required (travel experience accepted)
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within a Stepdown unit setting
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Two attempts maximum are allowed to pass required assessments during orientation
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Assignments may extend up to 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning to this health system
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
