GLC On-The-Go is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Boston, Massachusetts.
Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Stepdown unit, specializing in IMC/IMU/PCU/STEPDOWN. This contract position is located in Boston, MA, and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs.
As an RN in the Stepdown unit, you will be responsible for caring for a diverse patient population, including those with neurological conditions, medical-surgical needs, and high-acuity heart failure. The unit features 27 beds with an average patient ratio of 1:3 for IMCU patients and 1:4 or 1:4-5 for MedSurg patients.
Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of IMCU experience plus 2+ years of recent medical-surgical and telemetry experience. You must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and will be required to take a telemetry test on day 1. Experience with neuro care, myocardial infarctions (MIs), and tracheostomy care is essential.
Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is highly desirable.
This position requires working 12-hour shifts, with a schedule of every other weekend and holiday. Please note that candidates who reside less than 50 miles from the facility will be considered local and will receive a local rate that is $10 less than the posted bill rate. Previous permanent staff are not eligible to be submitted as travelers.
