Description

American Traveler is hiring a Step Down RN for a night shift assignment requiring EPIC experience and chronic ventilator management skills.

Details

• Step Down unit within a hospital setting
• Targeted patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5-6
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• 36 or 48 hour weekly contract options
• Requires EPIC EMR experience
• Floating required to main, south, and north campus locations within 15 miles at facility discretion
• Must work every other weekend and holiday
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per contract due to low census

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting
• Experience with stable chronic ventilator patients required
• 1.5+ years of experience preferred, with Level 1 or 2 trauma experience preferred
• IV start skills preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to telemetry and step down patients, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Skills may include ventilator care, central/PICC line management, cardiac drip management, and wound care
• Float priority given to travelers based on skillset and unit census
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, must be requested at time of submission with no changes after offer
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• Previous PERM/PRN staff or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying
• Rehire approval required for any previous Premier Health employees prior to proceeding with an offer
