Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Description:
Travelers should be aware that upon accepting an assignment and starting in the role, the unit manager may assign them to an emergency team.
There will be an expectation to remain until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team.
Specific details regarding pay will be communicated for each emergency event, as the impacts can vary.
By signing the travel contract, the traveler agrees to report as assigned by the unit manager in the event of an emergency.
Travelers should consider housing costs in the area before submitting their application.
Required Equipment:
- Sterilizer
- Sterrad Machine
- Ultrasonic machines (e.g., CaviWave, Medisafe, Belimed)
Additional Requirements:
- Must have current work experience of 2-3 years in the specialty
- Flexibility with various procedures including robotic instrumentation, surgical instruments, and equipment documentation
- Familiarity with the instrument tracking system is essential
- Knowledge of the 3-sink method in decontamination is required
- Awareness of the loaner/vendor process is important
- Candidates should understand the key parameters to monitor sterilization and instrument functionality
Teamwork and collaboration are crucial in this role.
Candidates should be prepared to discuss their familiarity with robotic instruments and demonstrate cleaning procedures during the interview.
A strong skills checklist rating of a minimum of 3 in relevant areas is required.
