Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x10-Hour, Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA preferred Must-Have: Knowledge of SPM and robotics instrumentation preferred. Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting. Description: The position requires a Sterile Processing Technician. The technician will be responsible for cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments. Familiarity with high-level disinfection processes is essential. Experience with washers, sterilizers, and case cart assembly is required. The technician should be knowledgeable about sterilization wrapping procedures. The role entails organizing trays and proper labeling of instruments. Biological and chemical indicators knowledge is preferred. Experience with various surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, and general surgery is beneficial. Robotic surgery experience is highly preferred. Candidates must have effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a team. Weekends and holidays may be required as part of the scheduling. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to float to various areas is necessary.
