Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,288 per week in Portland, OR

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x10-Hour or Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Minimum of 1 Year License: Preferred but not required Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Knowledge of SPM and robotics instrumentation preferred Description: This position requires knowledge of sterilization processes and procedures. Experience with cleaning equipment such as crash carts and IV pumps is necessary. Candidates should be familiar with high-level disinfection and the use of sterilizers. Proper selection of wrapping materials and sterilization wrapping procedures is essential. Candidates should have skills in assembling sets and trays, as well as documentation of equipment. Experience in various surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Urology, and Robotics, is preferred. Candidates should be adept in testing and monitoring sterilization processes using biological and chemical indicators. Experience with immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS) is also required. Knowledge of organizing trays and placing instruments properly is necessary. Familiarity with ultrasonic cleaners and manual cleaning is a plus. Candidates should be able to complete sterilization tasks efficiently within the department's workflow. Ability to label instruments correctly and adhere to safety protocols is essential. Traveling staff may be expected to float between facilities as needed. Candidates must have reliable transportation for the assignment.
