Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing procedure trays, surgical trays, and equipment. This role involves distributing medical equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the Operating Room, Nursing Units, Ancillary Departments, and Clinics. The position requires operating and monitoring sterilization equipment, maintaining records, and ensuring proper tracking of instruments. Additionally, the Sterile Processing Tech provides on-the-job training to new associates, communicates inventory status, and responds to emergency situations to ensure timely delivery of supplies.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
• Experience and understanding in the use of computers and ability to learn software relevant to Sterile Processing.
• Ability to successfully function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts.

• Previous experience in a hospital or clinic operating room.
