Travel Surgical First Assistant (SFA) - $2,886 per week in Martinsburg, WV

Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assist Profession: CSFA Specialty: OR Certified First Assistants Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours x 5 days; Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty is required, including 2-3 previous travel assignments. Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred. License: Must have a current surgical tech certification through one of the specified boards. Certifications: - BLS - CST - CSFA via designated certification board Must-Have: - Proficient with assisting in orthopedics. - Experience in the specialty required. Description: The unit performs an average of 28 cases per day with additional cases as needed. The surgical team will have a ratio of 1:1. Call is required for weekends and weeknights with a 20-minute response time. Weekend call may vary from 12 to 24 hours based on needs. Weeknight shifts can include various times as specified. All surgical cases are performed except for open heart procedures. A variety of surgical specialties are covered, including neuro spine and total joints. Scrubbing experience as a registered nurse is preferred but not required. The facility supports both day and evening shifts. Commonly, 7-8 operating rooms are utilized daily with adequate staffing. Technicians are responsible for room turnover and maintenance. All necessary pharmacy services are available on-site 24/7. Shifts vary, but self-scheduling for travelers is typically not permitted. Additional responsibilities may include floating to outpatient surgery as required.
