Travel Surgical First Assistant (SFA) - $2,886 per week in Martinsburg, WV

Description: The position requires a strong surgical background in the operating room environment. The average number of cases per day is 28, with additional cases as needed. The surgical assistant will be involved in various surgical specialties except open heart procedures. The unit is equipped with 14 operating suites. Weekend and weeknight call rotations are a requirement for this position. On-call response time is expected to be 20 minutes. Scrubs are provided for all staff. The assistant may be required to float to outpatient surgery when necessary. Candidates must be certified by recognized boards and have completed an AAS accredited Surgical Assistant program. A commitment to quality patient care and teamwork is essential. Previous traveling experience or travel assignments is preferred, particularly in orthopedics and neurology. The assistant will work alongside a team of certified nurses and technicians. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on unit demands.
