Job TitleOR Certified Scrub Tech - Childbirth Center

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3 x 12-hour shifts per week | On-call availability required
Key Responsibilities- Scrub for Cesarean-Section procedures, maintaining the sterile surgical field peri-operatively and intra-operatively
- Plan, prepare, and maintain surgical instrumentation throughout all phases of the procedure
- Perform post-operative room and instrument decontamination; stock OR, LDRs, Nursery, and Postpartum Rooms and routinely remove outdated supplies and forms
- Perform a variety of direct and non-direct patient care duties, including clerical, supply, and messenger responsibilities
- Function as unit secretary within the department as needed
- Collaborate with all professional disciplines as a Childbirth Center team member to support patient-family safety, satisfaction, and desired outcomes
Required Qualifications- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent OR scrub tech certification required
- Experience scrubbing surgical procedures, with demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique
- Ability to be available for on-call shifts as needed
- Ability to work within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience scrubbing Cesarean-Section or OB-related surgical procedures
- Familiarity with Childbirth Center or Labor and Delivery unit environments
- Experience with unit secretary or clerical duties in a clinical setting
