Contract | Days | Shifts may include 12-hour weekend shifts on rotation and 8-hour shifts during the week; call and weekend rotation required
Key Responsibilities

Scrub and assist in a high-volume OR environment with 23 rooms and an expected 50-70 cases per day
Perform across a wide range of surgical specialties including General, Laparoscopic, Robotic, Orthopedic, and Neurological surgery
Participate in trauma cases within a Level 1 Trauma Center setting
Take call on the same rotation as permanent staff, including assigned call center responsibilities
Work weekend shifts on rotation as assigned, which may include up to 2 weekend shifts per month depending on rotation cycle
Support Neuro/Ortho and Center 1 call rotations, which include weekday evening or night call approximately 3 times per month

Required Qualifications

Must meet Massachusetts state requirements for Surgical Technologists via one of the following pathways:
- Graduated from a nationally accredited surgical technology program AND holds an active certification from NBSTSA; or
- Graduated from a nationally accredited surgical technology program AND holds an active certification from NCCT (CAAHEP accreditation verification required); or
- Completed a military surgical technology program; or
- Was employed as a surgical technician on or before 7/1/2013
Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
Broad surgical scrub skills required across General, Laparoscopic, Robotic, Orthopedic, and Neurological specialties
Ability and willingness to participate in call and weekend rotation as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior travel surgical tech experience strongly preferred
Experience with Eyes and/or ENT cases is a plus
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume academic facility environment
