Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a general OR setting handling 20–25 cases per day across 5 suites
• Support a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, GYN, urology, orthopedics, and podiatry
• Scrubbing preferred; at least some travelers with scrubbing skills are expected on the unit
• Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation (approximately once every 6 weeks); call response time of 45 minutes required
• Document and manage patient care using Epic OpTime EMR
• May be required to float to a nearby sister facility on occasion

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass a drug screen; facility maintains a drug-free campus policy
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred
• Scrubbing skills preferred
• PALS certification is a plus, though not required
• Familiarity with Epic OpTime or similar OR-specific EMR platforms
