Contract | Evening Shift (5x8 Hours, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | On-call required approximately 1x/week and 1 weekend per 6-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub in on a wide variety of surgical procedures, with an emphasis on cardiovascular cases
- Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation, including occasional weekend on-call coverage
- Document and chart using Epic electronic health record system
- Adhere to facility protocols, scheduling commitments, and holiday coverage requirements, including working 3 of 5 designated holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Surgical Technologist license must be in hand at time of submission
- NBSTSA certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience
- Ability to scrub a wide variety of cardiovascular procedures
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted at a different rate)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Robotic surgical experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
