Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry Float RN with an active MA license and Epic/telemetry experience for a night shift hospital assignment.

Details

• Works in a Telemetry Float role within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes MS/Tele, Cardiovascular, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, and Plastics cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45-07:15), totaling 36 hours per week
• Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday, including a major holiday
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be available to work all 7 days of the week
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 18 months acute care experience required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central/PICC line care, IV therapy, chest tube management, and wound care
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Must pass a pass/fail telemetry exam (80% passing score) and a pass/fail medication exam during orientation, each with only one attempt allowed
• Failure to pass either exam will result in immediate cancellation of the assignment
• Study materials are provided throughout the compliance process and facility-directed interviews
• Must reside within a 200-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
• Travelers must have a 12-month separation from the health system if previously employed there
• Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on clinical background
