Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN float for a night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 18 months of acute care experience.

Details

• Float position within the Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (18:45-7:15)
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must work a major holiday

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 18 months acute care experience required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration preferred
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, HFNC, and tracheostomy management preferred

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Must complete pass/fail medication and telemetry exams during orientation, each with one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days
• RTO requests up to 14 days may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Must have a 12-month separation from the health system for returning staff
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on background
