Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Telemetry. The position provides care for adult patients requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring and progressive care support. Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, caring for patients before and after cardiac procedures, and interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: California registered nurse license; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry or progressive care unit experience; experience managing amiodarone, heparin, diltiazem, and dopamine drips; experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization, coronary artery bypass grafting, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement care; competency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, heparin protocols, central line care, intravenous therapy, pacemaker care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, blood product administration, wound care, and telemetry monitoring.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holidays as needed; no call required.
• Additional Information: Provides care to adult patients in a cardiac telemetry and progressive care setting. Clinical responsibilities include titrating cardiac drips, managing telemetry and dysrhythmias, caring for patients with pacemakers, and providing pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac catheterization, cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, and cardiac angiogram procedures. Float rotation is not specified.
