Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with at least one year of acute care telemetry experience and Epic EMR proficiency for a hospital-based assignment.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit, including cardiac telemetry and ER holding patients
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930, Sunday through Saturday
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• CPI Blue Card preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute care telemetry setting required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Two supervisor references required

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response as part of daily duties
• Perform IV therapy, peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Manage respiratory support including oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and chest tubes
• Support post-cardiac, post-neuro, and post-surgical patient care
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
• First-time travelers may be considered per position exceptions
• Previous UC Irvine employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract is preferred, with none permitted in the first two weeks of the assignment
