Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and deliver direct patient care on a 48-bed Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Urology unit
  • Administer IV medications including Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin IV or subcutaneous
  • Manage central lines including PICC lines, hemodialysis catheters, and midlines; perform foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheter care
  • Provide wound care including drain management and wound VAC therapy; perform NGT/G-tube care and manage parenteral nutrition
  • Deliver postoperative patient care and orthopedic care; provide ostomy care as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the care team to promote patient care excellence

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience
  • Proficiency with remote telemetry monitoring and standard Med/Surg equipment (Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, automated BP machines)
  • Experience with Altera/Allscripts Sunrise or comparable electronic documentation system
  • Ability to work every other weekend (EOW) and adhere to unit float policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience working within the HCA healthcare system or familiarity with HCA policies and workflows
  • Background in urology patient care
  • Experience with NGT insertion procedures
