Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Telemetry night shift position requiring IL licensure and prior ortho/surgical patient experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes ortho and surgical patients
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Flexible to float to Highland Park, Evanston, or Skokie locations
• No on-call requirements
• 8-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including ortho and surgical patients
• New graduates not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration
• Must pass an on-site EKG test on day 1 of orientation to continue the assignment

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to ortho and surgical patients
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO for 8-week contracts limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Facility conducts a short interview, typically 10-15 minutes, as part of the hiring process
