Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring an active CA RN license and EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Float required between the Orange and Irvine campuses, with primary assignment to the 6th floor unit in Irvine
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand (EMSA not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute preferred (required for ER or Float Pool roles)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 1.5 years of RN experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in telemetry within the past 2 years required for specialty consideration
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including monitoring and phlebotomy duties
• Must be willing to float between campuses as assigned
• Locals accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Previous UC Irvine or UC system staff must be gone a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract preferred
• RTO requests must be confirmed at the time of application and cannot be changed once submitted for manager review
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
