Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN with an active IL license for a Telemetry position requiring 2 years of cardiac/MS-tele/stepdown experience.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting known for fast pace and high patient turnover
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:40 to 07:10
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, A-fib with RVR, mild renal failure, sepsis, chronic vent dependency, chest pain/rule out MI, overdose/ETOH withdrawal, COVID, and pleural effusion

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Experience in cardiac, MS/Tele, and stepdown units required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be clean shaven to ensure proper respirator seal for fit testing, with no medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management for cardiac and stepdown patients
• Candidates must reside more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Must be available to work at least one of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day
• Navy blue scrub color required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers cannot work more than 1 year at this facility without taking a 6-month break before returning
