GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Independence, Missouri.

Opportunity:
RN - Telemetry
Job Details:
• Work on a 36-bed Telemetry unit in the main hospital building
• Patient ratios of 1:3 AM and 1:4 PM, or 1:4 AM and 1:5 PM with patient care techs available
• Primarily total RN-based care with unit secretaries scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Utilize equipment including BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Document using Meditech system
• Perform bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
• Assist with central line or PICC line placement
• Manage vasoactive drips with advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
• Float to MedSurg units as needed on a rotation basis
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Dress code: Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms; black or charcoal grey jackets permitted
Facility:
This facility is a Level 2 trauma center with Stroke Accreditation, STEMI Accreditation, and Certified Bariatric Center designations. The Telemetry unit has received Unit of Distinction Honorable Mention recognition and serves as a Designated Education Unit. The unit features new cardiac monitors that allow visual monitoring of cardiac rhythms in each patient room, reflecting the facility's commitment to innovative patient care and staff support.
