Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Telemetry RN for a 36-hour night shift position requiring strong cardiac telemetry skills and an active MA RN license.

Details

• 24-bed Medical Cardiology unit
• Night shift 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• RN to patient ratio of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights
• Cares for post-cath patients including PCI, ICD, PPM, and ablation procedures
• Utilizes TR band and femoral approach techniques
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license, including conditional licenses accepted
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted at some facilities)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience with a strong cardiac background
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as a traveler
• Must be able to interpret telemetry strips and perform cardiac drips

• Provides direct patient care on a busy medical cardiology unit with a focus on telemetry monitoring and post-cardiac procedure recovery
• Flu vaccination required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of the facility, at a reduced rate
