Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience and a valid CA RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730, Sunday-Saturday rotation
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in cardiac telemetry nursing
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CPI preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac telemetry patients, including monitoring for dysrhythmias and managing cardiac drips
• Experience with pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, and post cardiac surgery care is valued
• No first-time travelers considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Previous permanent staff must be gone a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment; max 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract preferred
