Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position in a Float Pool unit, requiring an active MI license and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Float Pool position within Clinical Support Services at an acute care hospital
• Acts as a verified trauma center with a busy emergency department
• Uses Paragon EMR
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts and a 36-hour guarantee (no 4x12 schedules)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Matching scrubs required for dress code

Requirements

• Active RN license required at time of submission
• MI RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required for Nursing specialties
• Michigan license verification required (LARA and Nursys)
• References not required

• Deliver quality nursing care through the nursing process, collaborating with the healthcare team to uphold professional nursing standards
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients and plan/implement individualized nursing care
• Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust care accordingly
• Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to support patient and family-centered care
• Local candidates accepted, with those living within a 35-mile radius considered local travelers
• Full-time McLaren employees are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment
• Facility enforces a strict attendance policy allowing termination after 3 absences or late arrivals of more than 20 minutes
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to travel assignment experience requirement
