Primary Facility: St. John’s Regional Medical Center
Secondary Facility: St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital
Location: Camarillo, California, and nearby facility approximately 9 miles away
Department: Float Pool – Telemetry / Med-Surg / Acute Care

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (12-hour shifts; facility notes list 7:00 AM–7:30 PM at the primary facility)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 91 weeks listed — confirm, as this is unusually long for a travel assignment
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend initially; unit notes also specify 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holidays: Required — one major and one minor holiday
• Floating: Required between facilities and units
• Scheduling: No block scheduling at St. John’s Regional; self-scheduling at Pleasant Valley is not guaranteed
• Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks
• BSN: Not required
• License to Submit: Yes

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS

Experience Requirements

• 2–3 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Experience managing cardiac drips required
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips independently
• Chest tube experience preferred
• Positive attitude, flexibility and compassionate patient care are emphasized
