Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with CA licensure and at least two years of Med/Tele experience for a night shift acute care position.

Details

• Acute care Telemetry unit setting
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum one year of current Med/Tele experience required; 2 years experience preferred overall
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred
• Recent clinical experience in telemetry rhythm interpretation, including recognition of arrhythmias (A-fib, A-flutter, SVT, VT, PVCs, PACs)
• Recent experience initiating, titrating, monitoring, and documenting drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Insulin, and Heparin
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of holistic nursing care for assigned patients
• Develops and implements individualized plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and transitions of care
• Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements to promote optimal patient experience
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with only one holiday request permitted per contract
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Returning staff or travelers must have a break in service of at least one year before returning
