Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift contract requiring stroke/neuro experience and IL licensure.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• May float to other like units within the NorthShore system as needed, with priority given to travelers
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent application is in process)
• Active BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to consideration, plus an on-site EKG test during orientation
• 2+ years of Stroke/Neuro experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• New graduates will not be considered

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care to patients with cardiac monitoring needs
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month gap before being considered as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Candidates will undergo a brief facility interview as part of the hiring process
