Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Telemetry position requiring CT or compact RN license and 2 years of telemetry experience at a Level I Trauma Center.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a Level I Trauma Center, academic medical center setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Average patient ratios of 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, and 1:5 weekends
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry RN experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital)
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
• Proficient in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience with non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management in a large academic Level I Trauma Center
• Must not have been previously employed in a permanent staff role at the facility within the last 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Flu vaccination is required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccination and booster required except for religious or medical exemptions
• Travelers must be willing to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
