**Exciting Opportunity: Utilization Review RN** Job Description: - **Join a dynamic healthcare team** dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and outcomes. - **Impact Patient Lives:** Ensure patients receive the necessary care by verifying medical necessity and managing resources effectively. - **Work Environment:** Collaborate with diverse healthcare professionals in a culturally rich community that values diversity and inclusion. - **Your Role:** - Monitor ongoing patient needs and lengths of stay. - Support accurate clinical documentation to enhance reimbursement processes. - Coordinate discharge planning and transitions with care teams. - Communicate with payers to minimize denials and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - Contribute to reporting and quality improvement efforts. - **Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. - **License/Certification:** - Current, unrestricted Professional Nursing License from any state in the USA, Puerto Rico, or its territories. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA). - **Experience:** - Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience with at least two (2) years in an inpatient setting (e.g., medical-surgical, PACU, ICU, Step-Down, Telemetry, or home health). - Knowledgeable in case management, purchased referred care, and utilization review processes. - Familiar with electronic health record systems. - **Schedule:** - Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. - Callback required on weekends and holidays.
