Job Requirements
- Active Wyoming RN license or compact/multi-state RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery (L&D)/LDRP
- Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications from the American Heart Association where applicable
- Experience caring for OB/GYN patients, antepartum, triage, labor and delivery, postpartum, and post-operative hysterectomy patients
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Comfortable floating to another unit as helping hands or sitter support when needed
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform appropriate clinical treatments
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation
- Collaborate across disciplines to support patient transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial needs
- Provide patient and family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and learning needs
- Support physical and emotional well-being through compassionate advocacy
- Circulate during C-sections, assist with deliveries, and support recovery and care of surgical patients
- Attend the neonatal station in the C-section suite and perform complete post-delivery neonatal assessments
- Maintain required fetal monitoring and neonatal care competencies, including ongoing certification as needed
