Unit Information:
5 diagnostic beds, 2 fluoroscopy beds, 1 video swallow bed, 2 diagnostic rooms in the clinic, 3 pain clinic rooms, 1 dental room
Average patients per day: 15-20 per technologist
Will accept first-time travelers depending on skill level
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, procedural, all age ranges, minimal pediatrics
Support within the Department:
Lead technologist on the first shift
Radiologist on site 24/7
14 technologists on day shift, 7 on second shift, 3 on third shift
Radiologic Technologists available 24/7
Clientists and intensivists available 24/7
Technology/Equipment:
Electronic Medical Records: EPIC
X-ray equipment: GE, Fuji, Del Medical
PACS: McKesson
C-arm: GE 9900 and Elites and Medtronic o-arms
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation every other weekend
On-call schedule: one call shift per week
First call: 0630-1400, second call: 1400-2230, third call: 2230-0630
Holiday expectations: One holiday per contract
RTO approval must go through management
Shift Times:
Dependent on posting and needs, usually flex 1-1.5 hours between start times
Typical schedule cycle: Monday to Friday and every other weekend
One day off during the week leading up to the work weekend and one day off the week following the work weekend

Unit Culture: fast-paced with a high acuity of patients
