Description

We are hiring a traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial and commercial electrical construction projects, with initial assignment based out of the Bentonville, AR area and travel to project sites as required. The Electrical Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises all field electrical activity, directing foremen, electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is a full-time, travel-based position paying $45.00 to $50.00 per hour with a minimum 60-hour work week.

Key Responsibilities - Electrical Superintendent

  • Promote and enforce company, OSHA, and customer safety requirements. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, jobsite inspections, Job Hazard Analyses, and incident investigations with corrective action follow-through.
  • Oversee daily field operations, coordinating manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. Develop and maintain project schedules against customer commitments and monitor productivity for efficiency gains.
  • Direct and mentor foremen, electricians, and apprentices. Support workforce planning, hiring, training, and performance coaching.
  • Verify that installations meet NEC requirements and project specifications, performing regular quality inspections and correcting deficiencies. Coordinate commissioning, startup, testing, and closeout.
  • Track labor productivity and project costs, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and change orders. Attend project meetings with customers, general contractors, and inspectors and escalate scope changes and field risks.

Qualifications - Electrical Superintendent

  • 7+ years of electrical construction experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent capacity.
  • Working knowledge of the NEC, OSHA regulations, and electrical construction methods. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and electrical drawings.
  • Experience managing industrial, commercial, or large-scale electrical projects.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean MVR. Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Willingness to travel and work a minimum 60-hour week. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Preferred Qualifications - Industrial Electrical Superintendent

  • Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Power distribution systems and medium-voltage installation experience.
  • Motor controls, automation, and controls systems experience.
  • Multi-site or nationwide project management experience.
  • Prior commissioning, startup, and testing leadership on industrial projects.

Physical Requirements - Electrical Superintendent

  • Work in indoor and outdoor active construction environments in all weather conditions.
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, and work at elevated heights throughout the shift.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Travel required with extended stays away from home residence.
  • Minimum 60 hours per week; day shift with occasional nights and weekends as schedules demand.
