Job Description

Nationally recognized GC looking to add a Traveling Superintendent to their team to lead complex mission-critical projects. First project is located in Colorado Springs and will be a multi-year committment.

Due to continued expansion within its mission critical division, the company is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead large-scale projects and play a key role in delivering technically demanding work across the nation.


Description

  • Provide overall field leadership for mission critical construction projects from groundbreaking through turnover.
  • Manage day-to-day jobsite operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive project schedules while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site logistics.
  • Lead project site meetings and maintain effective communication with owners, design teams, trade partners, and internal project stakeholders.
  • Enforce and promote a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with all company, local, and federal safety standards.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and turnover procedures.
  • Identify and resolve field issues, schedule impacts, and constructability challenges before they affect project performance.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to maintain budget controls, manpower planning, procurement schedules, and project forecasting.
  • Review subcontractor performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained throughout project execution.
  • Lead punch list and project closeout activities to ensure successful owner occupancy and project completion.
  • Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field personnel while helping develop future construction leaders within the organization.
  • Travel nationally as required to support current and future mission critical projects.

Profile

  • 8+ years of commercial construction experience with significant field leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent leading ground-up mission critical, data center, advanced technology, or other highly technical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, equipment coordination, and critical infrastructure construction.
  • Experience managing large-scale projects valued at $50M+ is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving complex scheduling requirements, aggressive timelines, and multiple subcontractor trades.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, safety regulations, quality control procedures, and project sequencing.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Track record of building strong client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, project management platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and relocate temporarily to project locations as business needs require.
  • Stable career history with a reputation for professionalism, accountability, and successful project delivery.
