Are you a treasury professional who enjoys managing complex cash operations while helping a business plan for what is ahead? Our client is looking for a hands-on Treasury Manager to oversee liquidity, banking relationships, financing activities, and treasury operations across a growing portfolio of projects and legal entities.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day treasury operations while helping build the infrastructure, reporting, and controls needed to support continued growth. You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Project Finance, and external banking partners to ensure funding is available when and where it is needed, identify potential risks, and keep the business moving forward.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys having a broad scope of responsibility, solving complex financial challenges, and improving processes in a fast-paced environment.
Take ownership of a critical finance function: Oversee liquidity, cash management, banking relationships, debt administration, and treasury operations across multiple entities.
Have a seat at the table: Partner with senior finance leadership and cross-functional teams on funding strategies, project financing, and broader business initiatives.
Work beyond traditional treasury: Get involved in project finance transactions, capital movements, credit facilities, and financing activities that directly support business growth.
Build and improve: Help establish scalable treasury processes, strengthen internal controls, and identify opportunities to automate and improve reporting.
Develop strategic banking relationships: Serve as a key point of contact with financial institutions, lenders, and other external partners.
Make an impact: Provide leadership with clear visibility into cash positions, funding requirements, financial exposures, and emerging risks.
Grow with the business: Help shape the treasury function as the organization expands, with the opportunity to mentor and develop additional resources over time.
Lead cash and liquidity planning: Develop and maintain cash forecasts across corporate and project entities, anticipating funding needs related to operations, construction, financing, acquisitions, and other business activities.
Oversee daily treasury operations: Manage cash positioning, payment activity, intercompany transfers, and funding movements to ensure liquidity is available where needed while maintaining appropriate safeguards.
Manage banking and credit relationships: Oversee bank accounts, online banking platforms, authorized users, payment approvals, credit facilities, borrowing activity, and letters of credit while serving as the primary day-to-day contact for banking partners.
Support financing and project transactions: Work alongside Project Finance and other teams on funding requirements, debt draws, transaction closings, sources and uses of funds, account structures, and ongoing financing administration.
Monitor debt and financial exposures: Track borrowing obligations, interest payments, covenant requirements, lender reporting, and interest-rate or foreign-exchange exposures across U.S. and Canadian operations.
Provide meaningful financial visibility: Prepare treasury reporting and communicate cash forecasts, available credit, upcoming funding needs, and potential financial risks to senior leadership.
Strengthen treasury processes and controls: Develop policies, documentation, approval procedures, and audit-ready records while ensuring treasury activities meet internal control and compliance standards.
Drive process improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline cash management, improve reporting, and enhance Oracle, banking platforms, and other treasury systems.
Partner across the organization: Build relationships with Finance, Accounting, Project Finance, and operational teams to improve forecasting accuracy and keep funding plans aligned with business needs.
Provide leadership and guidance: Serve as the internal treasury resource, help resolve complex issues, and mentor additional team members as the function grows.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in corporate treasury, corporate finance, banking, or a related discipline, with demonstrated ownership of complex responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity forecasting, banking administration, debt and credit facilities, letters of credit, and treasury controls.
Experience managing cash flows across multiple legal entities, preferably within a growing or capital-intensive organization.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems, online banking platforms, and treasury tools. Oracle experience is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to identify potential risks and communicate practical recommendations.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and cross-functional projects.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with internal leadership, banking partners, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
