Salary Range: $26.80 - $34.25 + Excellent Benefits

Status: Full‑time, Regular

Work Schedule: 4/10

Minimum Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Education/Training:

  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade. Specialized training in tree maintenance or a related field is desirable.

Experience:

  • Two years of increasingly responsible tree maintenance, including tree climbing experience, are required.

License or Certificate:

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid Class A driver''s license within one year of employment.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain within six months, Electrical Hazard Awareness Procedures and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
  • Possession of certification as a Tree Worker and/or a Certified Arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is desirable.

Job Description:

Tree Trimmer II

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong background in tree maintenance, climbing, and arboricultural practices.
  • Experience pruning, removing, and caring for trees using ropes, saddles, aerial lift trucks, chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other specialized equipment.
  • Knowledge of traffic control procedures, emergency rescue techniques, and the safe operation of tools, herbicides, and fertilizers.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • A willingness to respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and use basic computer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and occasionally serve in a lead capacity.
