Nucor is hiring a Truck Scale Operator in Louisville, KY to accurately weigh and purchase inbound scrap metal while directing yard traffic and handling general office administration. Pay and Benefits Offered
- Earnings up to $65,000+ annually, including base hourly pay, weekly overtime, and weekly production bonuses.

Key Job Duties
- Safety and Scale Operations: Execute OSHA safety protocols, weigh and purchase inbound scrap metal, collect required customer data, and issue purchasing/shipping documentation.
- Yard and Administrative Support: Direct traffic patterns in the yard, conduct general office administrative tasks, and cross-train as a backup cashier or greeter to assist team members as needed.

Qualifications and Experience
- Work Environment and Soft Skills: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure, meet deadlines, follow written/verbal directions, and possess exceptional communication, time-management, and customer service skills.
- Technical Capabilities and Physical Demands: Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, willingness to learn internal recycling systems, dependable attendance, and the flexibility to work overtime in all outdoor weather conditions.
- Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of customer service experience and scrap metal industry knowledge are a plus.
- Screening Requirement: Successful completion of pre-employment urine and hair follicle drug screenings.
